Save and reuse order lists
How B2B buyers save the Order Pad as a named list, load it for their next order, and how lists are tied to each company location.
Saved lists let buyers keep the quantities they order every week and load them in one click. Saved lists appears on the Order Pad for signed-in customers.
Save a list
Enter quantities, type a List name (up to 100 characters) and click Save this list. The buyer sees “List saved.” A list can hold up to 500 lines.
To update a list, choose it in Your lists, keep its name, and click Save this list again. A new name creates a new list.
Load a list
Choose a list in Your lists and click Load list. The buyer sees “List loaded.”
Loading clears every quantity on the pad first, then fills in the list:
- Rows on the page that can be ordered get their saved quantity.
- Everything else, including variants that are sold out or no longer exist, is listed under the table. Shopify reports any problem when the buyer clicks Add all to cart.
Delete a list
Choose the list and click Delete list. It’s deleted right away, without asking, and the buyer sees “List deleted.”
Lists belong to a company location
A B2B buyer who orders for several locations sees only the lists saved at the location they’re buying for. Your lists shows the 50 most recently updated lists.
Where lists are stored
Lists are saved in your Shopify store as B2B Desk data called Saved order pad, with the customer, company location, name and lines. They’re deleted when Shopify asks B2B Desk to erase that customer’s data, and when you uninstall B2B Desk.
If saving fails, buyers see “Could not update your saved lists. Try again.” That also happens if a list has more than 500 lines or a buyer saves more than 20 times in a minute.
