Check that your storefront blocks are live

The Storefront card on the B2B Desk Home page shows whether the application form, hosted page, wholesale bar and Order Pad are live.

Updated 2 min read

The Storefront card on the B2B Desk Home page shows, for each part of B2B Desk that lives on your store, whether it’s live on your published theme. It checks again whenever you come back to the app’s tab, so after saving in the theme editor, switch back to B2B Desk to see the new status.

Row What it is Where you add it
Application form The Wholesale application theme block A page template in the theme editor
Hosted application page The application page B2B Desk hosts for you Nothing to add. It’s always Active
Wholesale bar The Wholesale bar app embed App embeds in the theme editor
Order Pad The Order pad theme block A page, collection or product template

None of the blocks are required. The application form and the hosted application page are two ways to take applications, so Not added on the form is fine if buyers apply on the hosted page.

What each status means

Status Meaning What to do
Active (the bar shows On) The block or embed is on your published theme. The row lists the templates it’s on, such as “On Wholesale page”. Nothing.
Not added (the bar shows Off) It isn’t on any template of your published theme. Click Add to theme (or Turn on for the bar), then click Save in the theme editor.
Unavailable Shopify reports it as hidden on your published theme. Open the theme editor and add the block again.
Not detected Shopify didn’t report B2B Desk’s theme blocks at all. Reload the app. If it stays, contact B2B Desk through the app’s Shopify App Store listing.
Unknown The check failed this time. Reload the app to check again.
Checking… The check is still running. Wait a moment.

Template names in the status

The status names templates the way your theme editor does:

  • Default page is the template every page uses unless it has its own. A block here shows on all of those pages.
  • A page template you created shows by its name, such as Wholesale page or Quick order page.
  • Default collection is the template for collection pages.

If the application form shows On Default page, it appears on every page that uses the default page template. To limit it to one page, see Add the application form to your store.

The Order Pad page has its own status card

Order Pad in the app’s navigation opens a page with an Order Pad block card. It uses the same statuses and adds buttons for the next step:

  • Add to a page and Add to collection pages when the block isn’t on your published theme.
  • Customize in theme editor when it is.

The card also reminds you that “Only buyers logged in to a B2B account see it, unless you turn on retail mode in the block settings.” If you’re checking your store while logged out, that’s why you don’t see the pad. See Troubleshoot the Order Pad.
