Fix pricing warnings

What each pricing warning on the B2B Desk Catalogs page means for your buyers and how to fix it, from locations in no B2B market to full catalog slots.

Updated 2 min read

The Catalogs page checks every company location and lists problems in a banner, such as “Review 2 pricing issues”. Click Show location or Show locations on a warning to filter the table to those locations. Home shows the count too.

A location is in no B2B market

“2 locations are in no B2B market and see no B2B prices: Little Fern Bakery, Mesa Coffee Bar.”

Basic, Grow and Advanced. These buyers see retail prices. It often happens to companies created by hand in Shopify, or approved without a Pricing tier.

Fix: select the locations, click Move to market and pick the market with the right catalog. See Change pricing, terms and tax in bulk.

A location has no catalog

“1 location has no catalog and sees retail prices: …”

Plus. The location has no catalog assigned directly and none through its markets. Fix: select it and click Assign catalog.

A market has no catalog

“B2B Wholesale has no active catalog, so its 4 locations see retail prices.”

The market exists but carries no active catalog, or its catalog is a draft. Fix: in your Shopify admin, add an active catalog to the market, or move its locations to another market.

All catalog slots are in use

“All 3 catalog slots are in use. To add a price tier, move locations into an existing market or retire a catalog.”

Basic, Grow and Advanced. This one’s informational. You can’t add a fourth catalog on these plans, so to offer another price tier, retire a catalog you no longer need, or move locations into an existing tier.

A location is in several markets

“Copperline Hotels, Denver is in 2 markets (B2B Cafés, B2B Hotels); Shopify charges the lowest price per product, so Hotels wholesale (-30%) applies.”

The warning ends with what actually applies. The location pays the lowest price per product across all its markets’ catalogs, or its directly assigned catalog if it has one. When several locations are affected, the warnings merge into one: “3 locations are in more than one B2B market. Shopify charges the lowest price per product across their catalogs.”

Fix: if that’s not what you intended, use Move to market to put each location in one market.
