Use Shopify Flow with B2B Desk

B2B Desk starts Shopify Flow workflows when a wholesale application is submitted, approved or declined. Here are the triggers, their data and workflow ideas.

Updated 1 min read

B2B Desk adds three triggers to Shopify Flow. In the Flow app, create a workflow, click Select a trigger and search for “Wholesale application”.

Triggers

Trigger Starts when
Wholesale application submitted “A buyer submitted a wholesale application through the form or the hosted link.”
Wholesale application approved “A wholesale application was approved and its company, location and contact were created or linked.”
Wholesale application declined “A wholesale application was declined. No Shopify records were created.”

They fire for decisions made by staff and by auto-approve rules, and for approvals into an existing company. Requests for information, spam and document uploads don’t fire any trigger.

Data each trigger passes

All three include:

Field Value
Application handle The application’s ID in B2B Desk
Company name The company name from the application
Contact email The applicant’s email
Contact name First and last name, or the email when there’s no name
Country The billing country as a two-letter code, like US
Source theme_block for the form on your store, hosted_form for the hosted page

Wholesale application approved also passes the company, the company contact and the Company location ID, so later steps can act on those Shopify records. Wholesale application declined also passes the Decline reason.

Workflow ideas

  • Tell your CRM about new wholesale companies. On Wholesale application approved, use Send HTTP request to post the company name and contact to your CRM.
  • Alert the right account manager. On Wholesale application approved, add a condition on Country and Send internal email to the manager for that region.
  • Follow up on near misses. On Wholesale application declined, check for a reason like “Does not meet minimums” and send the details to your sales tool with Send HTTP request.
  • Route by region. On Wholesale application submitted, send applications from specific countries to a regional inbox.
